Arrest made in attempted kidnapping outside Planet Fitness: report – PennLive

Police say they have solved an attempted kidnapping outside a Planet Fitness in Central Pa.

As CBS 21 reports, West Lampeter Township Police have filed charges in the July 30 incident against Christopher Mitchell, 38, of Willow Street, Lancaster County.

Mitchell is accused of forcing a woman into her car at knifepoint as she was walking from a local Planet Fitness to the parking lot.

He allegedly grabbed the woman from behind, forced her to the ground, then into her vehicle and demanded the keys.

The woman was able to run away, and police had been searching for the suspect ever since.

Mitchell faces felony charges, including attempted kidnapping, robbery and aggravated assault.
