Almonds are a good source of monounsaturated fats, which are said to be a secret ingredient to help burn belly fat.
Combined with their high protein and fibre content, almonds make for a good weight loss food as they help curb cravings.
How can slimmers add more nuts and seeds to their diet?
As some nuts and seeds have a high calorie content, it’s important not to go overboard.
Experts recommend a handful or 22 grams of nuts daily.
Slimmers could try sprinkling almonds or chia seeds on their breakfast oats, salads or stir fries.
