Conor McGregor ‘agrees to boxing match’ with Luke Keeler after appearing to punch an elderly man
Conor McGregor has agreed to a fight with fellow Irishman Luke Keeler after the boxer called him out for appearing to punch an elderly man in the face.
Footage emerged of McGregor infuriated by a pub-goer’s refusal to drink his whiskey brand and the UFC star then seemed to throw a punch, which failed to knock the man off his chair.
Keeler was appalled by the clip and Tweeted: ‘I’d be happy to put him in his place if he had the balls to step in a ring again’.

And when McGregor became aware of the WBO European middleweight champion’s call-out, he verbally agreed to a fight during an angry phone call.
Keeler told IrishBoxing.com: ‘I don’t want to get into it too much, but I know he wasn’t happy about the call out. He is not happy.
‘The fight community in Ireland is small enough and Crumlin isn’t too far from Ballyfermot- and I heard he wasn’t happy with the timing of it.
He rang me and we had a few words. I told him the fight was there to be made and he was all for it. H agreed to fight over the phone.’
